One week of the three-week filing period for candidates in the April Municipal Election is complete.
Through December 31st, individuals seeking office in municipalities around the state as well as school board and other political subdivisions may file as a candidate.
According to the City of Branson Website, three candidates, all incumbents, have filed to run for re-election, Mayor Larry Milton, Ward 1 Alderwoman Ruth Denham, and Ward 2 Alderman Artie Lucas. Milton and Denham are both seeking third terms in their respective positions while Lucas is running for his first full term after being appointed to fill the unexpired term of Cody Fenton earlier this year.
Candidates who sign up and are certified will run in the 2025 Missouri Municipal Election on April 8.
