Parts of a southwest Missouri city has issued a Boil Water Advisory.
The release below is from the City of Ozark:
The Ozark Public Works Department has issued a Boil Advisory for homes and businesses in the area outlined on the attached map. The advisory is being issued out of an abundance of caution due to the water main break along Selmore Road on Monday, August 31, and the length of time customers in the affected area were without service. There is no indication at this time that the water is contaminated.
Customers in the area are advised to boil water used for drinking and cooking for two minutes before use.
The city is working with the Christian County Health Department to collect and submit water samples for testing. Once certified lab results confirm there is no presence of bacteria, we will notify customers in the affected area.
