The mix of rain and snow this winter has kept the water levels mostly normal in the Lakes Region, but some areas of Abnormally Dry Conditions exist in parts of the area.
The latest map from the U.S. Drought Monitor indicates that Barry and Stone Counties in Missouri and part of Carroll County in Arkansas are listed as Abnormally Dry, which means while water levels are mostly good, they are trending towards a dry period that could begin to put pressure on upcoming spring crops.
Currently the next chance of rain in the forecast is next Wednesday.
