OZARK, Mo. – With the rise of social media, cyberbullying is impacting kids not just across the world, but right here in the Ozarks.
26% of American teens were the victim of cyberbullying last year according to a study done by the Cyberbullying Research Center. That’s an increase of nearly 4% from 2021.
A recent cyberbullying case was handled in the Ozark School District this month.
“He just said if it happened over the weekend, there’s really not much we can do about it,” said a parent of a child who was recently bullied. “And I said, ‘Well, I think it’s still relevant.'”
