A person has died in the crash of a pick-up truck in Ozark County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 80-year-old James Hagedorn of St. Louis lost control of his pick-up west of Caufield on Highway 160 around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, leaving the highway and hitting an embankment.
Hagedorn was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield where he later died. A passenger in the vehicle, 68-year-old Joan Hagedorn, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to West Plains for treatment.
This is the 24th fatality in crashes worked by Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
