One person is dead after their vehicle was hit by a train while driving across a railroad crossing
According to a post from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 47-year-old Exeter man drove his car across the tracks with the crossing marked with Yield Railway Crossing Signs on Farm Road 2060 around 1:30 Monday afternoon. The vehicle was then struck by the Arkansas-Missouri Railway Engine. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 12th fatality worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
