Omaha High School Principal Charged in Wife's Death

The Principal of Omaha High School is facing murder charges in the death of his wife.

52-year-old Rocky Dodson is being held in the Boone County Jail on charges that he caused the death of his wife, 36-year-old Amanda Dodson. 

Boone County Sheriff Tim Roberson tells Ozarks First that officers were called to a residence in Omaha last Sunday, March 6 and discovered that  Amanda Dodson had suffered a severe injury that resulted in her death.

An email was sent out to parents Thursday by the Omaha School District, which has put Rocky Dodson, who is also the High School Boys Basketball Coach, on Administrative Leave. 

Rocky Dodson is facing second degree murder charges in the death of his wife, who also worked for the Omaha School District. 

“I hate that she’s gone,” parent Devon Turner tells Ozarks First. “I’ve never heard anyone say anything horrible about Amanda. Everybody’s really heartbroken and sad and shocked and just, all those mixed feelings.”
