Several residents in the Lakes Region report feeling an earthquake that occurred in Oklahoma late Friday evening.
According to the US Geological Survey, a 5.1 Magnitude Earthquake occurred around Prague in central Oklahoma just before 11:30 Friday night. According to the USGS, residents in Lakes Region Communities including Alpena, Berryville, Eureka Springs, Galena, Harrison, Hollister, Jasper, Kirbyville, and Reeds Spring were among those reporting feeling the shaking caused by the quake.
The USGS also reports another quake in the same region around 10 minutes later registering as a Magnitude 2.6.
Media reports from Oklahoma indicate only minor damage and no injuries due to the quakes.
