Carol Furman Named Cedar Ridge Primary Principal
Carol Furman has been named principal at Cedar Ridge Primary for the 2021-2022 school year. She replaces Shelly Worley who has accepted a position with Springfield Public Schools as principal of Horace Mann Elementary.
Furman has over 20 years of teaching and administrative experience and has been principal for Disney Elementary with Springfield Public Schools since July 2020. She spent 9 years as principal in the Ocean View School District in Huntington Beach, California, as well as 11 years as an elementary teacher in that district. Furman earned her undergraduate and masters degree from Chapman University in California.
Furman and her husband Alan, have one daughter and two sons.
“Branson Public Schools has a great reputation for high quality instruction and partnership with the community. Building those close community connections is ultimately what leads to higher learning,” Furman says.
She begins her new duties August 2.
