LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A national survey of state laws led Arkansas to be ranked as the most pro-life state in the country.
The ranking was made by the group Americans United for Life. Officials with the Arkansas Family Council (AFC) announced the ranking in a Monday morning news conference.
This is the sixth consecutive year Arkansas has achieved this ranking.
AFC officials said the ranking was based on state laws protecting the unborn, the elderly, the disabled and the terminally ill. AFC president Jerry Cox said the ranking shows that most Arkansans are pro-life, leading to the state’s ranking.
