The potential sale of the landfill associated with the Ozark Mountain Solid Waste District has been terminated.
KTLO reports that during a board meeting Tuesday in Harrison, members voted on and agreed to the termination agreement with Lakeshore Recycling Systems of Delaware. The company had approached the board last year about potentially buying the now closed NABORS Landfill north of Mountain Home. Several area interests were opposed to the potential reopening of the landfill.
No reason was given for the Lakeshore Recycling’s decision to terminate the potential sale.
More details on the meeting can be found on the KTLO Website.
