The man who was arrested in the Lakes Region for a murder in Springfield has been identified.
Springfield Police Public Information Officer Cris Swaters tells Ozarks First that 24-year-old Christian Blackwell of Springfield is charged in the shooting death of 22-year-old Codey Martinez of Springfield.
After the shooting, Blackwell left Springfield and was eventually located in Ozark County where he was taken into custody by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The report says that Blackwell was under the influence of drugs at the time of the shooting.
Blackwell is currently being held without bond in the Greene County Jail.
