Final Hot Day Ahead of Front Bringing Cooler Temperatures, Rain

A final hot day across the Lakes Region will give way to a frontal system brining in more seasonal conditions ahead of the first day of fall.

While humidity is lower today, temperatures will still get into the mid to upper 90s ahead of the front that will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms late tonight and overnight. 

Rain will move out of the area by Monday afternoon beginning a cooldown, which will see high temperatures in the 80s and lows in the 50s as the area transitions to Fall with the first day of the season coming on Tuesday.

While the temperature drops, just scattered showers are expected with the front and no rain in the forecast for the area for the rest of the week as conditions remain dry and drought levels continue to increase.
