More on Kimberling City Police Officer Resignation

More information on the departure of the Chief and Officers of the Kimberling City Police Department.

Mayor Bob Fritz tells Ozarks First that he is examining all of the letters of resignation to figure out why this happened all at once. Former Chief Craig Alexander in his letter announcing his departure, felt he couldn't complete the job to the best of his ability. Alexander and two other officers have taken positions with the Branson West Police Department, who along with the Stone County Sheriff's Office will help with calls in Kimberling City until the department is once again fully staffed.

Fritz in the Ozarks First interview restates the City's commitment first put forth in their press release on Wednesday that they are going to interview and hire officers to fill those positions. Fritz says that they already have resumes they are reviewing.

Although all officers have resigned, they did give advanced notice so some of the current force remains on the job through September 21.

The complete feature can be seen on the Ozarks First Website.
