A family of three escaped a fire that destroyed their mobile home in Merriam Woods Wednesday Night.
According to a post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, units were dispatched to the residence on Red Oak Road around 10:45 pm with the first units on the scene discovering the single wide mobile home fully engulfed. The fire was quickly brought under control.
No injuries were reported though the family has been displaced due to the fire. The family is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation according to the Fire District's post.
