Missouri Voters will now have their say on whether to begin a gradual appeal of the state’s Income Tax.
The Missouri House approved the measure on Tuesday that had previously been passed by the Senate. The proposal to go before voters includes a gradual elimination of the state income tax based on revenue as well as lowering property taxes also based on revenue growth.
Proponents of the bill said it will help encourage continued growth in the Missouri economy while opponents of the measure say it will lead to sales and other taxes going up.
