One of the biggest days for the Missouri Department of Conservation is less than 24 hours away.
The Firearms Deer Season will begin at Sunrise Saturday and go through Tuesday November 25. Over the last several weeks, the upcoming season has been discussed on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program as well as the “At Your Service” podcast on the Branson Podcast Network. A few things to remember for Lakes Region hunters this season include that the requirement that all hunters have firearms deer tags during this period even if hunting with a bow and that the area is no longer under a requirement for the testing of harvested deer, but voluntary testing is still available.
More details through the "At Your Service" Podcast are available at the Branson Podcast Network.
A recap of some changes also appear in a feature story on the Ozarks First Website.
