The reason for Missouri’s high ranking: Affordability.
Missouri scored highly in Bankrate’s report when it comes to affordability thanks to a cheaper cost of living and lower property tax rates.
The reason Missouri is not ranked even higher on the list is due to struggles with the quality of health care, crime and overall well-being, according to the analysis.
