The United States Geological Survey reports a minor earthquake has struck the Lakes Region.
According to the release from the USGS, the Earthquake occurred early Saturday morning in Ozark County around a mile south-southwest of Gainesville or about 60 miles east of Branson.
The quake registered magnitude 2.2 which according to the USGS, is usually not felt by most people though if residents were close enough to the epicenter or there was not much ambient noise in the area, they could feel some minor impacts.
Anyone in the Gainesville area that did feel the quake and notify the USGS on its website.
