The man who used the slogan "The People's Choice" was selected by a majority of voters to remain Mayor of Branson.
Larry Milton will serve a second term as Mayor defeating former Mayor Karen Best and current Ward 2 Alderman Chuck Rodriguez in Tuesday's Election. The totals had Milton getting 817 votes to Best's 614 and Rodriguez's 97.
During an interview on a Special Election Edition of KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program Tuesday night, Milton says that the result show's how the community wants to be governed and that they like the direction he and the Board of Alderman are leading the city. He said one of the things he wants to address in his second term in a major revision in the city's building codes.
Milton says he learned in his first term that there were several things that needed to change at City Hall and that the vote indicates that the charges are going in the right direction.
