Mid-States Wrestling has an upcoming event the whole family is welcome to enjoy.
Jason Jones, also known as "Space Cowboy appeared with Johnny Lighting on KHOZ's "Around The Table" on Thursday to discuss the event. The event is annual fundraiser at the Fairgrounds; this year it's a three-day-series of wrestling shows. It starts on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. The Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 will have different groups of wrestlers from the first night.
Admission is only $10, and Jones said all of the earnings go to the Fairgrounds. Jones explained that they did a fundraiser last February to raise money for the venue.
They raised over $4,000. The venue has housed Mid-States events for 23 years. Jones said spoke about the unfavorable perspective of wrestling.
He said while wrestling got a bad reputation in the early 2000s, these events don't share in the vulger TV displays that those did. He likened his events to those he grew up watching in the eighties and ninties.
Tickets are available online. VIP tickets are also available for $22; early entry, a meet and greet and close seats come with the VIP tickets. More was discussed during the broadcast.
The full interview with Jones and Lighting is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page.
