Faith Community Health (FAiTH) will work with an area Healthcare Provider to continue with patient services.
According to a release Wednesday from FAiTH, an agreement has been reached with Mercy to have their providers see patients to fill the need after the departure of Dr. Scott Washburn, A.P., who is leaving the area to begin his residency.
“This is good news for our patients and for the growing number of businesses who rely on us for care of their employees through the FaithCare plan,” said Kenn Tilus, executive director of FAiTH, in the release. “Our relationship with Mercy will ensure continuity of care for our patients.”
Faith Community Health is a charitable medical clinic serving the medically underserved who live and work in the communities of Stone and Taney counties with various health services.
“Caring for everyone, including those without the means to pay, is exactly why Mercy was founded,” said Craig McCoy, president of Mercy Springfield Communities, in the release. “As we celebrate our 130th year in the Springfield area, and look back on our time as the first health care provider in the region, we want to continue to create collaborations like this one, which aligns so wonderfully with our heritage.”
