After being announced last year, the State of Missouri is actively working on a Master Plan for Aging.
The order, issued by Governor Mike Parson last year, has the goal of setting up program and resources for the growing senior population in the state. Survey's and meetings have been going on throughout the state to get input on those plans.
The Stone County Community Health Coalition is inviting seniors in the county to their monthly meeting Thursday where Health Department Director Pam Burnett will lead a discussion on the needs of seniors in the region. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am at the Stone County Health Department facility in Reeds Spring.
