The new Kimberling City Police Chief is in place and residents are invited to a meet and greet this week.
According to a post on the City's Website, Chief Paul Lemoine will meet the public in the City Hall Community Center Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
The release says Lemoine and his family, including his wife who is a Springfield native, moved to the area several months ago from New Orleans where he served as the Director of the Protection Division and Antiterrorism Officer to the United States Marine Forces Reserve Command. Lemoine had been in the Marie Corps prior to that and also spent time with the St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana Sheriff's office.
Lemoinie's hire is the first step in re-staffing the Kimberling City Police Department after previous Chief Craig Alexander and the rest of the department resigned during August and September in a dispute with City Officials on several items including pay.
