Marionville Man Accused of Child Abuse

A Marionville man is behind bars after being accused of injuring a baby and having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

According to a post on the Aurora-Marionville Police Department Facebook Page, the department was contacted by the Missouri Department of Social Services about a baby that was in a Springfield Hospital with severe injuries that indicated possible abuse. 

The police department investigated and believed that the baby’s father, 23-year-old Zachary Bridwell, had caused the injury and also was involved in a sexual relationship with a minor which is also against state law. 

Bridwell is currently being held without bond. The baby is in critical but stable condition.
