Parts of the Lakes Region will see some much needed rain today that could lead to some strong to severe storms.
The National Weather Service predicts a Marginal Chance of severe storms with high winds the primary threat. There is also a low risk of an isolated tornado.
Strong winds are expected throughout the day with gusts from 30-40 MPH possible.
After rain moves out today, temperatures will begin to drop over the next few days, bottoming out Sunday, when highs will only be around 40 with lows in the 20s.
Another warm-up will follow starting on Monday.
