Manhunt Begins in Missouri, Ends in Arkansas

A pursuit of a vehicle reported stolen in St. Louis ends in Boone County Wednesday morning when a suspect was arrested following a manhunt.

Boone County Sheriff Tim Roberson says Taney County law enforcement initiated a pursuit of the reported stolen pickup. The pursuit entered Arkansas, with Boone County deputies intercepting the chase.
Officers continued the pursuit to the area of Old Springfield Road and Tharp Lane where the suspect drove the vehicle down a steep ravine into the woods. The suspect abandoned the reported stolen vehicle leading to a manhunt in the area.
Officers from the Arkansas Highway Police, Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Game and Fish assisted with the manhunt, ultimately leading to the arrest of the suspect near the Omaha city limits.
The suspect provided officers with a false identity but was later identified as 48-year-old James Allen Perry of Branson.
Perry has eight combined outstanding warrants for his arrest in Arkansas and Missouri. He is being held without bond for the outstanding warrants, as well as new charges of felony theft by receiving, felony fleeing and obstruction in Boone County.
