The period for hunters in both Arkansas and Missouri to apply for managed deer hunts is now underway.
Both the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the Missouri Department of Conservation are accepting applications for the hunts at specified locations in each state.
Missouri Department of Conservation Agent Dan Akin says on a recent "At Your Service" podcast that the managed hunts that occur on over 100 managed deer hunting areas in the state. Releases from both AGFC and MDC detail similar guidelines for the hunts coming up later this year.
The application period continues until the end of July.
