A Hartville man has been charged in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars from an ATM that was scheduled to be removed from a Casey’s in Hollister.
Michael Anderson, 52, is facing a felony count of stealing $750 or more in connection with the alleged theft of almost $14,000.
According to a probable cause statement, the owner of Mobile Money Midwest Operations spoke to a Hollister law enforcement officer regarding an ATM, which was located at the Casey’s on Business Highway 65 in Hollister. The ATM was scheduled to be removed on Aug. 3, 2023, because the company had lost their contract with Casey’s.
Anderson worked with the company allegedly took money out of the machine before company officials could get to the site to remove the machine. Video evidence pointed to Anderson as the man who took money out of the machine.
An arraignment hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 4, 2024 in Taney County Court.
