The Kimberling City Police Department announces an arrest in a series of burglaries in the community.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, 41-year-old William Chance Cook was taken into custody on Thursday. The post states that the arrest was the result of cooperation between law enforcement, probation and parole, Stone County Prosecutors Office, and community members.
According to court documents, Cook, listed as a resident of Reeds Spring, was identified by a Ring Doorbell Camera to have stolen a delivered package off of a porch in Kimberling City on August 9. He was later identified as the person who had broken into another home in Kimberling City early the morning of the 10th.
Cook had been charged last year for a burglary in Branson West and was set to stand trial on those charges this October.
Cook was arrested last week by Stone County Deputies and is currently in the Stone County Jail on a $50,000 Bond.
