With the summer season officially ending this Sunday, the Lakes Region will experience a surge of heat with some areas experiencing highs in the 90s.
The recent cool trend ends with a Dense Fog Advisory for this morning with visibility at a quarter of a mile or less for the morning commute. After the fog lifts, temperatures are expected to rise the rest of the week with above normal readings including some 90-degree temperatures by the end of the week.
The heat and dry conditions are expected to break by the end of the weekend with a slight chance of rain and cooler temperatures expected by Sunday.
