The Lamar student stabbed last week after a football game has been released from the hospital.
According to a report from the Lamar Police Department posted by Ozarks First, the student was stabbed several times in the attack.
Their investigation found that three boys (two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old) from Pittsburg, Kansas, hid between parked cars and attacked two Lamar students, aged 14 and 15, after the football game against Hollister.
The 14-year-old Lamar student suffered several stab wounds. He was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and has since been released. The 15-year-old Lamar student was punched in the face several times, according to law enforcement.
LPD said all three juvenile suspects are in custody and have been charged with first-degree assault in juvenile court.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Ozark Drug Enforcement Team and the State Juvenile Office assisted LPD with its investigation.
