Another round of rain that moved through the Lakes Region last weekend has nearly eliminated all of the drought levels from the region.
This week’s update from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows that the no drought conditions are present on the Missouri side of the Lakes Region while the area of Abnormally Dry Conditions reported in northern Arkansas has decreased. Only central and southern Madison County and western sections of Newton County are in the Abnormally Dry Level.
Some nearby areas still have drought concerns including west central Missouri which currently has some counties at a Extreme Drought Level while some counties in east central Arkansas are at a Severe Level.
More information is available on the U.S. Drought Monitor Website.
