A fundraiser to benefit the Junior Auxiliary of Taney County also turns into a benefit for Christian Action Ministries.
The annual Grocery Grab is the fundraiser that the auxiliary conducts with the funds for the tickets sold to help that organization with their children's programs. The winning ticket this year was sold to Mandy Farrow, the former publisher of the Branson Tri-Lakes News who has since moved to Texas. Farrow donated her winning ticket to Michele Dean, Executive Director of Christian Action Ministries so she could shop for items to help the food pantry.
Dean made the rounds Saturday morning around Rhoades Family Price Chopper and ended up getting groceries totaling up to $893.87. In addition, the third place winner also donated that ticket to CAM which Dean said she will use later to help with items on their Thanksgiving Baskets.
