A house in west central Taney County is destroyed by a fire early Sunday morning.
The Western Taney County Fire Protection District posts on their Facebook Page that units were paged to a report of the fire at the end of Airport Road around 3:20 Sunday morning. Units had to navigate a narrow, snow and ice covered driveway though once the arrived on the scene, the house was well involved. Crews had to draft water out of a nearby pond to battle the blaze. No injuries were reported but the house was a total loss. Firefighters report the fire began in a flue.
