A week of hot temperatures is in the forecast according to the National Weather Service.
The Missouri Ozarks goes under a Heat Advisory this afternoon that will be in effect through Thursday while parts of northwest Arkansas including Boone, Marion, and Newton Counties will go under a Heat Advisory on Tuesday.
According to weather forecasters, temperatures will be in the upper 90s to around 100 while Heat Index Readings will approach 110. r
Officials remind residents and visitors to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
