HOLLISTER, Mo. — The City of Hollister announced via its official Facebook page that it will kick off the Christmas season with a community tree lighting celebration on Thursday, Nov. 7.
The event is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on the Downing Street Pedestrian Mall. Guests can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while the Hollister High School and School of the Ozarks Choirs perform holiday music.
Mayor Jeff Long will be joined by Santa Claus to flip the switch on the city’s 20-foot Christmas tree, officially welcoming the holiday season to Hollister.
