An annual Day-Before-Thanksgiving Event that has been going on for 30 plus years is set for Wednesday.
The Annual Holiday Food Harvest will take place at several grocery stores across the region, collecting food and money for Christian Action Ministries and Salvation Army Branson.
For the past 20 years, the food harvest has been presented by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors. Janet Bezzerides of the board joined KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program to talk about the drive that goes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday. She says this year’s drive takes on more importance as the food pantries are looking to restock after the recent government shutdown saw an increased demand for food due to government benefits being paused.
The stores that are again participating as collection sites for the Holiday Food Harvest include:
Country Mart Branson, Forsyth, Hollister
Harter House Hollister and Kimberling City
Price Chopper Branson
Sun Fest Branson
King Food Saver Branson West
Wal-Mart Supercenter Branson West
