Contractor crews will soon begin work to improve Missouri Route 5 in Ozark and Douglas counties south of Ava.
The project includes shoulder stabilization and adding rumble strips from Missouri Route A in Douglas County to U.S. Route 160 in Ozark County. Motorists should anticipate a lane reduction.
Weather permitting, work will be underway Monday, May 23 and continue through Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends as necessary.
As construction is underway, flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
