The heatwave that has impacted the Lakes Region continues though some chances of rain will start developing over the next few days.
The Heat Advisory remains in effect for the Missouri Ozarks through Friday with Heat Index Readings between 100 and 106 possible. Humidity will be slightly lower in northern Arkansas though Heat Index Readings will be in the upper 90s.
With the High Pressure creating these conditions slowly moving east, the opportunity for pop-up showers increases beginning Thursday and going into the Holiday Weekend.
Even with the movement of the high, forecasters with the National Weather Service still expect conditions to stay hot in the Lakes Region through the Holiday Weekend.
