A blast of heat returns to the Lakes Region.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Wednesday afternoon and evening for the Missouri Lakes Region including the Branson Area. Barry, Stone, and Taney Counties are included in the advisory with Heat Index Readings of between 100 and 110 possible.
Also included in the Heat Advisory are areas around Harrison including Boone, Carroll, Madison, Newton, and Searcy Counties.
Officials are advising residents and visitors to be cautious during outdoor activities and also check on those that may not have access to places to cool off.
