While heat has dropped down slightly in the Ozarks, the National Weather Service says conditions are still hot enough to continue alerts.
Today, areas west of Highway 65 in Missouri continue under an Excessive Heat Warning while the 65 Corridor in Missouri and areas west in Arkansas are under a Heat Advisory.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s to around 100 with Heat Index Readings going as high as 110.
Forecasters do see the Heatwave ending this week as a front will bring shower chances late Wednesday with cooler temperatures on Thursday.
