A member of a local Rotary Club is set to become the area District Governor later this week.
Kevin and Lisa Merrill from the Rotary Club of Harrison visited with KHOZ’s Around the Table on Monday to discuss Rotary and Kevin's new position.
Kevin is a past President of the Harrison Rotary Club and will be inducted as the District Governor for District 6110 this Saturday. In that position, he will be responsible for visit all the clubs. He said there are 78 clubs in that district which cover parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas; it is the largest district in North America. “We visit the clubs, we get to know them, we get to know what their projects are,” he said. He added that they are not the clubs’ boss but that they support them.
He will be the second person from the Harrison club to hold the District Governor position. The full interview with them is on the Around The Table Facebook Page.
