A Cape Fair man who had been accused in a shooting in Stone County on Sept. 21 is heading to state prison after a plea deal with prosecutors.
Chazz Ryan Lee Harris had been charged with Second Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon in the shooting. When those charges had been filed, Harris was also facing counts of Second Degree Domestic Assault and Aggravated Fleeing A Stop or Detention. His plea agreement with prosecutors resolved both cases.
In the shooting case, Harris pleaded guilty to Second Degree Assault. The other two charges were dismissed in the plea deal.
