A young girl from Kansas sustains serious injuries after trying to help another swimmer Saturday afternoon.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, that accident happened in Stone County near Point 5 on Table Rock Lake when the 11-year-old girl jumped off a pontoon boat to help the swimmer and was struck by the boat propeller.
The girl was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of her injuries.
