Bret Baier, during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, said the book, part of a series of five books telling the stories of past U.S. Presidents, talks about the role George Washington played in keeping the country together after the Revolutionary War, through the failed first attempt at government through the Articles of Confederation, to the convention that led to the Constitution. Baier said that Washington was pulled out of retirement out of necessity to be the guiding force through the convention and eventually serve two terms as the country's first President.
