Another person has entered the race to be Forsyth's next Mayor.
When the deadline to file to be on the April 4th Ballot came and went back in December, current Ward 1 Alderman Missi Heskth was the only person to file to run for the seat. Kelly Daugherty had announced she would not run for another term and has since stepped down from that position before the end of her term.
Now another person has entered the race. According to a report by the Branson Tri-Lakes News, Andy Brown has certified as a write-in candidate and while his name is not on the ballot, he will get the votes from people who write his name on the ballot. Missouri State Law does allow write-in candidates to run as long as the declare their intent to run no later than the second Friday before the election.
Voters will be able to chose on April 4th or during early voting which is underway now.
