A special meeting of the Forsyth Board of Aldermen Friday discusses the possible impeachment of Mayor Julie AuBuchon.
President of the Board Dennis Winzinreid said the board was looking into accusations of mismanagement and causing stress in the workplace. The board was told by Attorney Tim Davis that the cost of a Impeachment proceeding would be around $30,000.
A vote was taken to set aside a money for a possible impeachment and though it got a 2-1 vote in favor, due to the board being a member short due to a recent resignation, it did not receive the proper majority.
Officials say more will be discussed at the next meeting scheduled on November 3.
