The building that housed Charlie’s Steak House in Forsyth will once again be serving food with a side of kindness.
Christian Action Ministries, a non-profit organization dedicated to battling food insecurity in Taney County since 1984, has taken over the old steak house building, located at 139 State Highway Y, to house a new food pantry location. The organization’s main headquarters is in Branson and has been serving Forsyth by mobile food distributions.
The CAM food pantry served over 40,000 individual cases with approximately 500,000 meals in 2023, according to its website. The organization is ready to serve even more with a bigger and permanent location in Forsyth.
