An event led by former Arkansas Razorback Basketball Player Sydney Moncrief was held this past weekend for the purpose of community building between different parts of the state.
Moncrief conducted the first "We Are One" event in Little Rock Saturday which featured students from Central and North Arkansas schools as well as community leaders from Harrison and Little Rock to talk about diversity as well as career choices and inclusion.
Moncrief, during an interview Monday on KHOZ's "Around the Table" program, talked about the event put together through his "Game Changer" and "One Team" organizations to get the people from different areas of the state talking to each other about their regions and to talk through some of the misconceptions that people may have about one another.
Many business and community leaders from Harrison as well as students from Harrison Middle School and High School were a part of the event.
The complete interview with Sydney Moncrief can be seen on the Around the Table Facebook Page.
